I'd definitely recommend it for a light, uplifting read too. Perfect 'cozy-up next to a warm fire in your favorite overstuffed reading chair' material.<br />But given that war's raging in (duh) War & Peace right now, and I just finished The Very Thought of You in which civilian Londoners & Yorkshire-ers(?) during WWII wind up bereft for various personal and martial reasons, I think I'll put these two in my "give it a month or two and then re-approach" pile. Although more melancholy must be avoided at present, any book you favor is worth a second look.Laurie @ What She Readhttp://whatsheread.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5257036732683611349.post-48793519927289352102011-07-18T12:08:40.487-04:002011-07-18T12:08:40.487-04:00I was unfamiliar with Guernsey until I read it for...I was unfamiliar with Guernsey until I read it for my book club earlier this year. Hope you find something of interest in the other two, though Guernsey is the superior novel, I think. As the Crowe Flies and Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12110661562901480120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5257036732683611349.post-22034461126854111082011-07-17T22:26:56.140-04:002011-07-17T22:26:56.140-04:00These sound great!
