I don't listen to a lot of audiobooks, but I can understand how all of the letters/emails etc. could be confusing with this story!Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00333927782181943347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5257036732683611349.post-28533405665519531512014-03-27T12:55:52.037-04:002014-03-27T12:55:52.037-04:00Yes. I mean, like you said, the epistolary structure can make it hard to keep up with who's talking. BUT $15. Yes, I can swing that.

I've had different reactions to the book vs. audio-book version of WWZ which surprised me. The couple times I've read the book I was focused on the zombies. I'm not sure why but the book scared me far more. When I listened to it I realized how little they're actually present in the story. I felt the human element to the goings-on more. That probably has a lot to do with the cast they got to read it. My attention just isn'e quite there for new-to-me books in audiobook, but that's not quite as big a deal if I already know the book. Plus I won't feel guilty about rereading something when I have 100, 000 unread books in my shelves.

Although I'm a little scared to listen to this one because Bernadette has such a specific voice in my head and I'd hate to lose that (her evil generalisations of Canadians notwithstanding). But your review has encouraged me to at least listen to a sample Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09259549933849264277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5257036732683611349.post-58787180014068200812014-03-26T11:54:33.252-04:002014-03-26T11:54:33.252-04:00I have NEVER listened to a book BUT your review, s...I have NEVER listened to a book BUT your review, such great reading in itself, may take me there. I still haven't got to Bernadette - not beyond the free sample on my Nook anyway - but I have a Bday coming up, maybe I'll put it on my list. Off now to check out the book trailer!Sim Carterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07069681571808073102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5257036732683611349.post-16270024740390474062014-03-26T10:03:25.143-04:002014-03-26T10:03:25.143-04:00It is THE BEST book trailer of them all.
