Computer Woes

Hi, everybody! Normally while on vacation I would be blogging up a storm about Saba, Anguilla, and the books I'm reading. I'm also supposed to be sending out emails regarding the Caitlin Moran readalong that I will be hosting soon.

Alas I cannot do any of those things because my computer is kaput. Or at least mostly kaput, as there don't seem to be too many Mac dealers/experts on the island. My last best hope is to take my laptop to a guy tomorrow who is a silkscreen artist by trade but also a Mac buff.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I will be able to post soon. I'm actually ridiculously restless not being able to share my photos and experiences. I am also itching to read your blogs and book reviews and funny stories!

Hope to see y'all soon...

  2. Em, I sympathize with you, that initial unplugged time is painful, but then it gets easier and soon, you forget all about the computer and reconnect with life. Enjoy your time on the island, there will be plenty of time when you get back home to be on the tube and if you don't post a TR, c'est la vie. Enjoy your vacation. Ellen

  5. Sorry to hear about your computer problems, Emily! I'm actually trying to find your contact information so I can ask you questions about your blog. Do you ever host virtual book tours for small-press literary authors?

    1. Hmm...not sure how to answer that. I've asked to participate in the TLC virtual book tours but I've never been contacted about doing so. They do both large and small presses, I believe.

And as far as reviews go, I don't take any kind of solicitations for my blog--it's just for myself and whatever I choose to read, and it's separate from my job as an indie bookseller. If there's a book you want to put in my hands, with no strings attached on my end, it can be done via Odyssey Bookshop. Does that help?

Please, sir, may I have some more? (Comments, that is!)
